Webhosting basically served Internet hosting that allows people to make their website can be access through world wide web (www), they provide data center space and internet conectivity or collocation.
Types of web site hosting :
• Free web hosting service: usually with limited services, and supported by advertisements
• Shared web hosting service: one’s website is placed on the same server as many other sites, ranging from a few to hundreds or thousands
• Reseller web hosting: allows clients to become web hosts themselves
• Virtual Dedicated Server: also known as a Virtual Private Server (VPS), divides server resources into virtual servers, where resources can be allocated in a way that does not directly reflect the underlying hardware.
• Dedicated hosting service: the user gets his or her own Web server and gains full control over it (root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, the user typically does not own the server.
• Managed hosting service: the user gets his or her own Web server but is not allowed full control over it
• Colocation web hosting service: similar to the dedicated webhosting service, but the user owns the colo server; the hosting company provides physical space that the server takes up and takes care of the server.
• Cloud Hosting: is a new type of hosting platform that allows customers powerful, scalable and reliable hosting based on clustered load-balanced servers and utility billing.
• Clustered hosting: having multiple servers hosting the same content for better resource utilization.
• Grid hosting: this form of distributed hosting is when a server cluster acts like a grid and is composed of multiple nodes.
• Home server: usually a single machine placed in a private residence can be used to host one or more web sites from a usually consumer-grade broadband connection.

Singapore, do not miss to stop at the Marina Barrage. This new icon country which is a combination of technology and art and this new six-month operation. At the invitation of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) last May, along with a number of journalists from various regions in Indonesia, I was invited to various places, including the Marina Barrage.

Dam projects worth 226 million dollars or more than USD 1.5 trillion which was built at the mouth of the Marina Channel serves to help keep the water plug and overcoming the flood problem in some areas of lower lying like in Chinatown, Boat Quay, Jalan Besar, and Geylang.

consists of nine steel gates of the water from each of 30 meters, which was built about 350 meters long. Gate 5-meter-high steel that can be derived when dry so that water from the reservoir could be released into the sea, and serves as a drag when high waves. Salt water will gradually be replaced by rain water. And to avoid flooding, excess water discharged into the sea by opening the door drafts. But when the ocean tide, the excess water removed with the water pump.

barrage marina huge drainage pumps vertical pivot each 40 m3/second capacity, channel overflows into the sea water during high tide with the waves. Later the dam area of 10 thousand hectares of this will be a source of clean water to Singapore, so do not need to rely on other countries.

As an illustration, when seven pump controlled to operate in conjunction with 1600 kW electric motor, the combined capacity could reach 280 m3/second. And with the power that each pump can empty the Olympic-size swimming pool in just one minute. Wow …

The presence of the dam is also equipped with solar cell technology to capture sunlight converted into electricity. So not hard to get the electricity supply to meet market demand. Seeing Singapore made a breakthrough, I imagine if similar technology could be built in Semarang to overcome rob.

To reach the dam site is located at 260 Marina Way, there is a free shuttle bus service from Marina Bay MRT Station to the Marina Barrage which is every 15-30 minutes. Free admission and open starting at 09:00-18:00 on weekdays while on weekends and public holidays open longer beginning at 10:00-20:00. This places a special closed on Tuesday only.

In the artificial lake, we can spend time looking at the reservoir or walk along the dam to enjoy the atmosphere and clean air when the morning or evening. Even in some rare occasions where this can not be the center of water sports such as Jet ski, kayak and other water play activity. If you want to just mingle, the main square and green open space that also has to lower the temperature green roof buildings, could also be an option.

Barrage Fern marina Wong, our guide said that usually every weekend the place would be filled with visitors who are playing in the background of green carpet giant Ferris wheel Singapore Flyer. Want to eat or drink, would not be difficult because there are many restaurants serving a light menu and the various souvenirs as a souvenir.

Not only that, the Marina Barrage is also a Sustainable Singapore Gallery is the theme of the environment with interesting symbols to education ranging from organic tree fiction, old newspapers, plastic bottle recycling as a sign that we are always protecting the environment. A miniature dams provide further understanding of how the workings of the dam. Arranged with high technology, this gallery so much like a cafe or a pub with colored lights fully nuanced green, red, and blue.

Actually, before visiting the Marina Barrage, we all also have tried other Singapore icon with no less sophisticated technology that is the Singapore Flyer. Giant Ferris wheel 165 feet high with a diameter of 150 meters provides incredible scenery, exciting city landscapes including some of Malaysia and Indonesia that could from a height of capsule that can be loaded up to 28 people.

barragemarina can ride a lap for 30 minutes, the price to be paid fairly expensive if could reach USD 210 thousand for adults and USD 140 thousand for the children. Our other guide Danny Lorenzo said, once the giant device “sulking” because of the electricity business. During the six-hour passengers in limbo in height. After a closed temporarily for repairs, vehicle re-opened it with a high security guarantees. Recorded in the year 2008 just after opening a few months, visitors have nearly 2 million people.

Not only the visitors who want to enjoy the attractive scenery, for those who want to marry any willing to line up well in order to use the capsule “love” it. At least, until now there are 26 couples who married in the capsule. The amount does not include those who are hired for birthday or romantic dinner. Rent tariff of course differ a little more expensive.

Tight little fatigue relieved after resting at the Ibis Hotel Bencoolen Street. Understandably drive from Semarang-Jakarta-Singapore quite long and there until I have not had time to rest. The second day’s events was a visit from mall to mall in the area of Orchard, Marina Square, VivoCity close to the harbor Harbor Front.

Besides seeing preparations Great Singapore Sale Shopping Challenge which was followed about 11 teams from various countries, we are also invited to see one of the new mall is being built 313 @ Somerset. Growth of large malls so encouraged by the increasing number of visitors last year nearly 10.5 million people.

marina barrage amount, 20% of it is the people of Indonesia. And the market is actually worked by Singapore to attract tourists to shop there. They promote it in advance, took big malls are filled with famous branded such as Prada, Channel, Luis Vuitton, and gives greater discounts than normal days. Cooperation is also carried out not only the mall, but also hotels and restaurants and visits to places of interest.

Among the many places visited, we had stopped at the two museums of Chinatown Heritage Center and the National Museum of Singapore at Stamford Road. Yes, Singapore does have many beautiful museums truly maintained. The first museum in the Pagoda Street showing the life of the old days the Chinese began to migrate to Singapore to find a more decent job.

From the inside, we were presented with replicas of old stuff that never used, paintings and interesting photographs. All activities ranging from professional seamstress, farming, fishing, until that time the daily close to gambling, prostitution and poverty set with a unique and created as closely as possible to the original. Since birth, marriage till death so clearly illustrated in the museum’s well maintained.

After the museum tour, we can also buy cheap in Chinatown to buy souvenirs, food / beverage. To go to this museum we can ride the MRT and stop at Chinatown (Ne4) or Hippo Bus Stop Topless H12 and H13. Meanwhile, if you want to enjoy the history and culture, the National Museum of Singapore could be an option. Location in Stamford Road MRT can be reached with a stop at Dhoby Gaut then walk about 5 minutes from there, or through the City Hall located about 10 minutes walking.

Interestingly, so that the children could not get the manager to fill a number of angles with various educational games to practice skills and intelligence and thinking power. Unlike most museum visitors quiet, the building as grand as it was still feels “alive” with various activities.

Indian Cuisine

barrage marina from various activities and shopping streets, it’s time to enjoy good food. From the menu that we eat, the food-rich Indian spices is interesting taste. Yes, the trade route spices like pepper, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric, etc. are used to fill the ship and is controlled by the British at that time. Flow of immigrants as far away as India, China, Middle East and the Malayan Archipelago makes a unique mix of cuisine immigrants different in this country.

Although many Indian restaurants in Little India in Serangoon Road where can I find there but on the first day, Danny Lorenzo took us to the Tanglin Mall on Tanglin Road. There was an Indian restaurant called Yantra is really cozy atmosphere. For those who had never tasted Indian menu will be prepared. If not strong with a strong marinade ingredients, can-can stomach rebelled like my friend.

For starters, chicken kali mirch and machchi tukda presented. These first foods like grilled chicken with a strong aroma of ginger, garlic, pepper and spices are mixed with chili paste. The second is similar, too spicy, but the form in-grill fish until brown color and mixed with sour milk and chili paste.

Accompany us, do not forget Tandoori naan bread or a very popular in India especially in the north, Pakistan and Afghanistan are only the name is slightly different. Then came the main menu of Diwani Handi, Motiya Palak, Dal Maharaja, Murg Makhani, Rogan Josh, Vegetable Biryani, and of course the rice.

The first marina Diwani Handi barrageMenu contains boiled vegetables and potatoes cooked with ginger paste and garlic. While this Palak Motiya felt pretty good with a mixture of spinach and corn in the American-blended with burnt garlic. The next menu Indian curry taste like Rogan Josh.

This form Murg Makhani boneless chicken seasoned butter. Overnight chicken flavored yogurt and spices like garam masala, ginger, garlic, turmeric, cumin, chili, pepper, and lemon juice. After that grilled or roasted and then mixed with butter and tomato sauce. Last garnishnya containing white butter, fresh milk, sliced peppers, and fenugreek.

In addition to the Yantra, we also tested the other Indian restaurant in Clarke Quay that Coriander Leaf. Lots of restaurants earned awards at the same time providing the cooking class. Average menu almost as only possible in this second restaurant, our tongue is more suitable. According to Fern, Indian food is very good here and we agree.

Yep, at Clarke Quay has become an attractive entertainment center. Not only Indian restaurants, many cafes and places to eat delicious, entertainment magic at The Arena, along the Singapore River by boat, to the G-Max The Ultimate Bungy.

Route the streets, cheap healthy and recently opened to the public in Singapore is the Southern ridges. This route consists of several public parks that are associated with tracks, with a total distance of 9 kilometers. The gardens are connected among other Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Kent Ridge Park, Science Park and West Coast Park.
My first exploration, one morning last month, starting with treading Marang Trail, which is located not far from Harbourfront MRT station. Fortunately the sky was clear enough, although the drizzle had arrived when I left. Journey through the 800 meters and also the path of forest cutting steps took me to Mount Faber Park.

At that time Mount Faber Park, one of the oldest parks in Singapore that the extent of 56 acres, packed with visitors who enjoy the morning air while jogging or a leisurely stroll. Total distance splitting Faber Mount Faber Walk Park is 1 kilometer.

The journey continues to the Henderson Waves, the bridge that connects Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill. The highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore is located 36 meters above Henderson Road. What is unique from this bridge is a structure that looks like a wave, formed from the ranks of the curved metal poles up and down. In some places also written that the bridge height above sea level.

Next is the Hilltop Walk, 1 mile track through Telok Blangah Hill Park area of 34 hectares. The most impressive part of this park is the Terrace Garden, filled with flowers bugenvile. Quite high ladder I was willing to climb for the view from the top.

Forest Walk linking Telok Blangah Hill and Alexandra Arch. Forest Walk itself is 1.3 kilometers, consisting of an iron bridge with trees in the surrounding landscape and also at the bottom of the bridge.

Next is the Alexandra Arch, across the bridge over Alexandra Road, as far as 800 meters.

My favorite part is the Floral Walk, a short track as far as 300 meters to connect Alexandra Arch and Hortpark. As the name implies, the place was crammed with flowers look very tempting to be photographed

Hortpark is the center of recreation, education, research and retail as well as for things related to gardening. There are many outdoor displays associated with home gardening, can be used as inspiration.

From Hortpark, I went to Kent Ridge Park through the Canopy Walk. Bridge in the middle of the forest is surrounded by a variety of plants and wild animals. Many plants are labeled with the name and description of a fairly informative.

Actually, I wish to continue trekking up to the Science Park, but what power, canceled plans arbitrarily by the black clouds that followed heavy rains flushed mercilessly. Well, next time,

I personally want to share the experience with friends at the Singapore Tourism about my experience shopping at Mustafa Center. Recently I visited the Mustafa Center after 2 years of living in Singapore. So long I often heard that Mustafa Center is one of the mall is really crowded and you almost can find everything there any items. To go to the Mustafa Center I take the MRT and alight at the nearest MRT Ferrer Park MRT, from there we just need a little road just to reach the Mustafa Center.

Often times my friends recommend to not go to the Mustafa Center on holiday because it is very crowded in there, it’s true. First I entered the back door of the mall does not seem noisy visitors, but after further inside, was in full swing!

The mall is big enough and solid. Do not think this mall like the malls in Orchard or other places. Mustafa Center is more like that given the air-conditioning market. The atmosphere is very crowded, people jostled with each other. The place was so full with things that give way for the visitors, the distance between the shelves of very tight (about 2x wide troley). So if anyone brought troley (push cart) is stop selecting goods, automatic road traffic. The event has become another common there.
mustafa

inside mustafa

Mustafa Center is completely sold out. Everyday needs ranging from rice to spices typical of India, clothes, shoes, electronics, tools and household utensils, cars, and much more. Also do not miss a great jewelry store in the basement of Mustafa Center for Indian people love to collect gold. Money changers, tour and travel agency, the restaurant that sells a variety of foods ranging from food india, western, malay food, do not miss the Chinese food too.

Really department mall is open 24 hours a day. quite cheap compared to prices in other places. As I saw the ball jersey / jersey of genuine price slightly cheaper than you buy at the official store. As I see Chelsea jersey sold for $ 98 if I compare with the price at the official store of about $ 100 upwards.

Do not forget to taste the typical foods in the Indian side of the entrance to Mustafa Center. Tongue was swayed by benare artificial spices Indian food that tastes sharp and bold.

Of course, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) had reason to recommend Singapore’s Largest One-Stop Night Entertainment Complex as the place we fill the night in Singapore. True indeed, we journalists need to unwind after a little too late to cover the Great Singapore Shopping Challenge. In addition, as the STB Invitor we certainly want to indulge. In fact, in such entertainment venues, visitors can choose a pub with a variety of 9 different entertainment.

Interestingly again, the area’s nightlife center occupies a former coal power plant named St. James Power Station (SJPS) situated in the area known as the Gulf Blangah. The place is one of the main objectives of night entertainment in the country Merlion statue. And certainly, so exotic.

When entering the area of certain leafs SJPS wide, we saw hundreds of cars parked. High box-shaped buildings, large and elongated like a row of buildings in the Old City area of Semarang.

In front of the building is the center of the chimney high enough, and the stairs up to the chimney still intact untreated, can even climb. The lights that decorate the building eliminating the impression gloom.

When to go, we gain the impression should be in an old mill complete with chimney. We tease each other even worried if we were going to face a black soot. But when he had been in it, we had no reason to worry. The room was comfortable and clean. From some rooms, the sound of faint music began to sound. Well, it’s also true, the place is really fun night workshop very well liked.

In a room not far from the entrance, there is some room to display all the documentation items and photographs relating to SJPS. Memorabilia that tells of a glorious era of power plants in the early establishment of Singapore. Former fire beneath the chimney is still visible even after painting. In addition there are writings about the functionality of steam so that visitors can find out what the utility boilers in the past.

That night, we asked around to see all the pubs there. A manager who Yap took us to every part of the pub, past the aisles that have been arranged in such a way that does not seem haunted and old. Enormity, the inside of the pub to use all the old buildings and power plants to maintain authenticity.

Typical building coal power plant in Singapore is the first, left as is. Even in the brochure given to visitors when he entered, there is illustrated the front (facade) is an old building, complete with a towering chimney height.

See also section on the ceiling of each room. There is still found old pipes attached large and penetrate into the other room. In order not impressed , the pipes were painted with silver color. According to Yap, the purpose of maintenance of the old interior of the building power plants is to remind the function of buildings in the past.

In the building there are a number of pubs with a different music scene that spread across a wide area and stratified. Visitors are free to choose which ones to pubs serving music venue that he interested. Want to select music jazz, house music, electro, Chinese pop, R & B, or Latin, into the living room serving pubs.

In addition, there is a Powerhouse dance club with the most extensive areas in the complex. Exclusive gallery Bar, Movida that presents live music, Mono offering karaoke concept, Bellini Room is filled with shades of jazz, and others. So indeed, this is the place to fill the long evening’s entertainment.

In one hallway there is also a glass room in the middle of the building to see all the pubs there. Curious to enjoy all the pubs are there? Go ahead. We live into the existing pub 9. Only, we must pocket. Each incoming required to pay 24 Singapore dollars, or about USD 160 thousand. After that, as the identity passroom, hand stamped visitor admission. Interestingly, cap in hand instead of ink and do not appear, but the silver color looks so no reflection of light.

As we know, Singapore imposed a strict ban on smoking in many places. Crazy, fun night where there was any such restrictions. Though generally nightspots synonymous with cigarette smoke. But do not worry, in a special room SJPS for smokers who were at the end of every pub there.

SJPS popularity as a place of entertainment seen as a holiday night or Saturday night. To get in, visitors have to queue at the entrance page. Do not be afraid because outside there Pepppermint Park, which is used as a place to kongkow while standing in line waiting to enter. The line also occurs in the. If you are dying for want to be alone while enjoying the music, young couples will enter the room whatever was available. They just move to another room if they want the existing space.

When we arrived that evening, a number of pubs were booked for various activities. One room is used by a party committee F1 racing car preparation that will take place end of September. On the other pubs, dozens of teenagers do such extra-curricular activities of the arts activities.

That dollar scraper Regions Judi and F1

When passing the Marina Bay area, we saw a new building being built. Baasir, our guide from the STB said it was the embryo of the gambling area.

Wow, there’s always interesting innovation in Singapore that became a magnet to come. Already have a Ferris (Singapore Flyer Capsule) or a burst water (Fountain of Wealth) at Suntec City Hall, which suck up a lot of visitors, this would be compounded by the region as the center of gambling casinos in Las Vegas that the United States.

2009 target, the area was opened. Unmitigated, investors come directly from Las Vegas. And not just around Marina Bay, on the other gambling locations would be near the island of Sentosa with an Asian businessman. Development goals are not other areas to attract tourists. Gambling center, I think not only attractive to gamblers, but the people who have been curious and tried the game called the manager as “a game of luck”.

In addition to gambling area, the event Formula 1 (F1) 28 September come in lion country would also large foreign exchange. Just imagine, there is still time span of about three months, the hotels in Singapore have been ordered. In fact, some among the estimated hotel price hikes, especially five-star hotels which rose more than 30%. Such conditions could benefit the island of Batam. The reason is, just 1 hour journey by fery, people already get in Singapore.

So F1 race was certainly going to increasingly suck up the number of tourists to Singapore and Batam can get a splash of dollars too. Multiplayer new effect obtained from the income side of the hotel, not to mention the income from restaurants, tourist services, and others.

Once again it proves that, Singapore is always rich in innovations for the arrival of visitors fishing interests. Imagine, to make Indonesia as the host since the first F1 just has not materialized. Billions of dollars needed to build the circuits.

Another interesting thing from the F1 race in Singapore is the execution that took place at night. This will be the first race at night in F1 history. Crossed paths in the vicinity of Marina Bay as far as 5.067 km with the anti-clockwise direction.

Planned start of the Waterfront Marina near the Ferris wheel continues to turn toward the Republic Boulevard and Raffles Raffles Boulevard past the hotel, the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Oriental Hotel, and Marina Mandarin. Then turn on the Memorial Park, Nicoll Highway and turned back at Stamford Road toward Padang (Field across from the Supreme Court). Then turn on the Singapore Cricket Club over the Victoria Concert Hall and the Anderson Bridge. Fullerton is also passed on to the Esplanade Hotel Briddge, turned on Esplande Theater along Marina Bay.

Want to know the price of tickets to watch the F1? The cheapest 185 Singapore dollars for locations around the circuit. And for the Grandstand in the pit, the tickets reach the 1488 Singapore dollars.

Make that used to live in big cities probably never see another animal that looks beautiful on this night. Little kids today probably do not know exactly what it was a firefly. Now to just reminisce with insects reply flickering glow was not hurt when you visit the park or the firefly Firefly Park in the town of Kuala Selangor, Malaysia.

Firefly Park is located in the town of Kuala Selangor, about 1 and a half hours away by car from Kuala Lumpur. Firefly Park opened at 19:30 and closed at 23:00, well his name is also a tour of fireflies, a good time to look at their action is at night. Remember, in Malaysia darkening time is at 19:30, different from the darkening Jakarta at 18:00.

Ticket price per person is relatively cheap around RM10 or 27 thousand dollars. You should depart from Kuala Lumpur at about 16:30, so until there you are still sempet dinner at the restaurant. His Chinese restaurant pretty good and cheap Oh yes, do not eventually eat, then you forgot to buy tickets. Open ticket counter at 19:00 hours.

Firefly Park is not a zoo where the animals used in place of the cage, here you will navigate the river Selangor river wrote his name with a small motor boat to fit 20 people. So from this small boat we’ll explore the trees near the river where fireflies around and flicker lightly.

Boat ride to see fireflies will take about 30 minutes. Here also provided lodging, but what not many are able to look at but a firefly, it also can only be done at night! Photo of house on top is one of the photos in Firefly Park lodging.

You should come here not during the rainy season or a full moon, guaranteed lightning would not look at the time. Do not forget to also bring mosquito repellent lotion, if not, well-bumps bumps deh body. Bring your camera is fine but to no avail, because you can not do activities during the ship’s photography, at least you can only pictures of the ship just before it entered.

Some people choose to travel to Singapore with direct flights to Singapore, but some were chosen through Batam. This is because of differences in fiscal that only Rp. Compared with just 500,000 in the Airport twice. Thus although the flight to Singapore fairly cheap, but the reply-count calculated by the fiscal nonetheless still expensive!

This is quite understandable, considering the plane ticket Jakarta – Batam is so cheap now almost all the national airlines serving this route. you just choose the hour of departure only, or check the travel agent.

Transportation in Batam

Arriving in Batam, you will land at Hang Nadim Airport, Batam. The airport is quite large with a fairly complete facilities. Please note that you can buy ferry tickets to Singapore at the airport, with a cheaper price than if you buy at the port. You can buy round-trip ferry prices Batam-Singapore for S $ 13 only, whereas if you buy at the port, it costs S $ 15. From Hang Nadim airport, taxi is the best transportation mode to go to the harbor. you stay out and ride one of the taxi cab line the parking lot just inside the main door of the airport. There was no queue, so a taxi ride aja empty. Its price was officially fixed for 70 thousand dollars for the purpose port Batam Center.

Batam Center ferry harbor

Please note that there are several ferry ports in Batam. The port closest to the airport is Batam Center. Batam Center is a new port to replace the port of Batu Ampar old and not suitable to be used. Besides Batam Center, there is also a ferry port in Sekupang which also serves the purpose of Singapore, but more distant location and taxi prices will be more expensive.

As soon as you reach the port of Batam Center, you can simply buy a ferry ticket at the official counter of his ferry company. There are several ferry companies that serve the purpose of Singapore, but I suggest using diamond Ferries / Wavemaster or Penguin Ferries, because the two ferry companies that serve most routes Batam Center, Singapore (almost every hour there’s departure), and the ferry was also fairly recent.

Ticket prices for the ferry trip is S $ 15, and the price is the same for all ferry companies. There was also a port tax of $ S3, but I do not remember if it was included in the cost of the ticket or not. If you buy a round-trip ticket from Singapore, then you have to pay these taxes $ S3 time back from Batam. Prepare your Singapore dollar, because the ticket prices in Singapore dollars is more expensive than the ticket price in rupiah.

When purchasing tickets and booked his ferry, you also have to prepare your passport because officials will make a boarding pass with your name on the passport. These names must match and could not transferable. In addition, ferry officials will also give you two immigration cards, which one is the Indonesian immigration card and the other is Singapore immigration card, with your name already printed there.

After the ticket business done, and you are sure the place had been booked for the next ferry departure, you just have to go to the counter to pay the fiscal fiscal. This fiscal cost of 500 thousand dollars, and must be paid unless you are a passport holder of Batam, or if you live in Singapore and still have a fiscal free rations. If you want to take care of fiscal free, then you take care of it at the same counter where you pay the fiscal. This counter located at the corner a little bit, and should be somewhat careful look.

After you pay the fiscal, the next step is to take care of your baggage. If you do not bother to bring your luggage to the ferry, you can go to the counter to enter the trunk as the trunk of your suitcase. Later you will get tags for your luggage, much like at the airport for travel using an airplane. But please note, you still have to take care of your luggage will have to fit in Singapore. There porter fees to be paid in accordance with the number and weight of your baggage.

After the luggage business is done, you then up to the second floor and through immigration. After that, you will fall back to the first floor and wait in the waiting room until your ferry called. Then you got into the ferry, and the officer will ask for your boarding pass before you got into the ferry.

Harbour front Ferry Terminal

Ferry trip to Singapore would take about an hour. Keep in mind that when Singapore was one hour ahead of time Batam, so for example ferries depart from Batam Center 12 hours a day and time Batam, Singapore will be up to 2 pm Singapore time. Ferry which departs from Singapore at 12 noon Singapore time, will get to Batam Center at 12 noon as well, but when Batam.

Arriving in Singapore, the ferry will dock at Harbourfront ferry terminal. When out of the ferry, you must bring your goods themselves, through immigration and custom. If you come to Singapore as tourists, use the column “All Passports” on immigration, whereas if you are Singapore citizens, permanent residents, employment pass holder or a work permit in Singapore, use the column “Singapore Passports” for more quickly.

Transportation from Harbour front Center

After the immigration process is complete, make sure your passport has been stamped by the clerk. After you pass the custom and the goods are checked, you get out of the new ferry terminal and will directly go to the Harbour front Center, which is a building with the ferry port. Harbour front Center is one of the grand shopping mall in Singapore. Beside him, being built Vivo City, entertainment and shopping centers are said to be more glorious again.

From here, many public transportation options to go to other parts of Singapore. If you want to use the MRT (train), then you stay on the road to the front of the mall and look for the escalators down to the MRT station below ground. If you want to use a taxi, you can directly join the taxi queue is located in front of the mall. If you want to ride the bus, you can walk to the front of the mall and wait at the bus stop side of the road, or up to the second floor and cross the pedestrian bridge to the bus station opposite Harbourfront mall.

For the purpose of Orchard Road, you can ride from the Harbourfront MRT to Dhoby Ghaut, which is located in the eastern part of Orchard Road. To the west of Orchard Road, just change trains at Dhoby Ghaut to Somerset or Orchard. Or, you can also take bus 65 from Harbourfront bus station direct to Orchard Road.

Back to Jakarta via Batam

To return from Singapore to Jakarta via Batam, it is almost the same way. you must arrive at the Harbourfront Center at least one hour before the ferry departure. Arriving at the Harbour front, directly to the port at the back and climbed to the second floor. Find your ferry counter (Diamond or Penguin) and e Book for the next ferry ride. Here, you also must prepare passports for officers issuing boarding pass on your behalf. You also need to pay Seaport tax of S $ 10 per person.

Once you get your boarding pass, you can take care of your baggage. In contrast to the Batam Center, the maintenance of the trunk at Harbourfront is free until a certain baggage, I think it was 20 kg per person. After the committee finished the trunk, you immediately clearing immigration, and immediately went downstairs to boarding the ferry.

Arriving in Batam, out of the ferry, you are directly in line for immigration affairs. Prepare your passport and immigration card that live next to Indonesia. After completion of immigration matters, from the main lobby of the port, the exit on the left side door. On the right, there is a taxi counter and you can book a taxi from there. The charge for the Hang Nadim airport is 60 thousand dollars. For some reason, the cost of a taxi from the port to the airport was 10 thousand lower than the cost of a taxi from the airport to the harbor.

Arriving at Hang Nadim airport, directly to the airline counter you use to check-in. You also have to pay the airport tax of 13 thousand dollars per person. After getting your boarding pass, you can directly into the lounge to board the plane.
