Colmar, City of Little Venice of his French
Travel To Europe May 13th, 2010

Moreover, I visited during the spring, making the beauty of the enchanting town of Colmar with flowers on display in the window of each building. The city is often referred to by the nickname “Little Venice” or “La Petite Venise”.
Colmar, Perancis Kanal the Lauch river crossing in the middle of town is used as a means of transportation for tourists to see the surrounding scenery. Maybe this is what inspired the city of Colmar nickname as “Little Venice”, as well as the atmosphere in the city of Venice, Italy. Almost the same as Venice, tourists can rent a canal boat for this round. A boat capable of carrying 8 tourists, with a long travel approximately 20 minutes for 6 euros per person.
Like cities in Europe, Colmar also has some old church buildings into tourist attractions arena. The largest church is the Church of St. Martin, or often called the Cathedral Church. This building stood from the year 1234. We looked at this church, I imagine people skills antiquity to build it. Almost more than 700 years this church stands, but the building is still standing strong.
Colmar, streets in downtown Colmar, will find many old buildings, most of the conditions are still well maintained. The old building below is one example. This building once served as a hospital. Which are often encountered during the journey is full of buildings painted colors.
Characteristic of most European building windows and doors is a unique and colorful. The uniqueness is of course the object of interesting photographs. The funny thing is, there is a house that installed the old cookie sheet to serve as a wall decoration in front of his house.
Besides the old buildings, tourist attraction which can be found in Colmar is a museum and art galleries, restaurants and shopping stores and souvenir shops. From some souvenir shops, there is an interesting one I focus on. The store was a store that sells drinking cup bearing the name of a person.
This store is unique, because it sells a wide range of drinking cups colors. If we have a little tired through the center of Colmar, we can use a mobile cart that is provided in a special shelter.
This train will take us around the city center. When we sit in it, will be provided a walkman that serves as a tour guide. Of course, this all is not free. We have reached the money for 6 euro one way about 15 minutes.
Once we get out of the city center, there is a tourist attraction that we should not miss. True, the photo below is a replica of the Statue of Liberty was the United States. This statue stands grandly in the middle of the highway intersection. I was lucky that day.
The weather in the city of Colmar is very bright. So I could capture this replica with good lighting. After this trip I thought, was to visit the town of Colmar I can imagine about the two places in other parts of the world. One, the city was Venice Italy, and the other is the city of New York in the United States.
