Seoraksan or Mount Seorak is the highest peak of the mountain ranges Taebaek (태백산맥) is located in Gangwon Province, east of South Korea. Mount Seorak in Seorak Mountain National Park near the city of Sokcho. Seoraksan is the highest mountain to-3 in South Korea after Mount Halla in Jeju and Mount Jiri in South Gyeongsang province. The peak of Mount Seorak called Daechongbong (대청봉) which reaches a height of 1708 meters above sea level. Taebaek circuit is often regarded as the backbone of the Korean peninsula.

Mount Seorak attracts many domestic and foreign tourists throughout the year, but peak traffic occurs in the autumn when the leaves become colorful. Autumn beauty Seoraksan regarded as one of the most beautiful autumn scenery in Korea. Forest leaves red and yellow colors of the mountain rocks and streams flowing from the springs here. In the rainy season, especially during the typhoon, streams that spring gushing.

Perhaps part of the most visited is the valley at the entrance to the national park, 15 minutes from the park entrance. This valley has many interesting sites.

Waterfalls Yukdam and Biryeong (비룡폭포) is located on the left side of the valley, about 40 minutes walk from the main car park. Ulsanbawi (울산 바위; stone Ulsan) is a unique rock formations that can be achieved by climbing down the track and climbed more than 800 pieces of stairs.
